statement

Drawing and painting are all-absorbing passions for me.
. My favorite subject matters are people and still life.. People fascinate me and provide infinite possibilities as subjects. .Still life provides a dual challenge, first in creating (or finding) a suitable subject and secondly in portraying it in two dimensions. Occasionally, other subject matter, such as street scenes or interiors, will prove irresistible. In any of my paintings, design, shapes and color are paramount considerations, particularly as they create a visual interest or excitement that will engage the viewer.. My work is mainly in water media (either transparent watercolor or gouache) or pastel.
