In the themes in my paintings - whether they are landscapes, eyes, flowers,
or others - forms are all related to one another.The colours are bright and vivid and strong shapes relate to the colour.
Some colour is the subject.I am influenced tremendously by the flower paintings of Georgia O'Keeffe and
by the intensity and brilliance in Frida Kahlo's work. As Andre Breton said,
"The palpable energy that radiates from Kahlo's small, meticulously observed
self-portraits comes from the ferocity of her dialogue with herself and the
directness with which she told her story."These paintings represent a dialogue with myself. Each painting is a piece
of a story and a part of a journey. My paintings are an expression of love
and a reflection on life.
